VITS 201 PAL Insertion Generator Tektronix DESCRIPTION: The VITS 201 is a PAL vertical interval test signal generator and inserter that offers many advanced features. The VITS 201 can be programmed to insert test signals onto any video line from line 17 through 30 and 319 through 343. The test signals can be any of 13 digitally generated internal signals, or inputed from any of 4 AC coupled and clamped or DC coupled external sources. In addition, the VITS 201 provides a total of 16, 384 unique source identification signals which are set using 16 DIP switches on the back panel of the instrument.These signals can be placed on any of the available lines in vertical blanking. If the incoming program video should fail, the VITS 201 can automatically generate a selected standby signal until the program input is restored.
